The Art of Anatomy: a crash course

A lecture chronicling the history of anatomy as illustrated by artists and anatomists, from 14th to 21st centuries, through the lens of the context in which they were practicing. Drawing on the social, cultural and political influences of the period they lived in will offer an insightful perspective into how artists have, and continue to, illustrate the human body.

What’s so artistic about about science anyway?

Why do so many contemporary artists exploit their expertise to explore the world of science? Introducing a range of these artists will invite open discussions to share personal interpretations of the artworks, in order to achieve greater insight into the art of science.
